Hello readers! aside from the box office weekly ranking, we’re adding another feature to Arama – Weekly TV Drama Ratings.
Most spring dramas have made its premiere last week and so we go on with the tv ratings report! This will mostly focus on dramas aired on the major commercial tv networks, Fuji TV, TBS, NTV, and TV Asahi, from which drama ratings are released and made available easily. Also to be included are ratings from NHK’s taiga drama.
The ratings in Japan are measured according to regions such as Kanto, Kansai and Nagoya. Main ratings used is the Kanto ratings as it is the busiest and most densely populated region and so it will be used to be presented in this feature.
The feature can be improved to be more comprehensive of other shows, pending a more feasible patform and source accessibility. Please feel free to write your suggestions below!

I’m Home registers the highest spring drama premiere so far with 16.7%, while Tatakau! Shoten Girl is off to a slow start on primetime with 6.2%. Kokoro Ga Pokkito Ne suffered a decrease on its second episode as Dr Rintaro’s first episode aired at the same timeslot, which managed to score 13.9%. On the other hand, Hana Moyu dropped to single digits at 9.8%
