A few weeks ago, it was reported that TOKIO‘s Joshima Shigeru is engaged to his pregnant girlfriend, Kikuchi Risa. But according to Shukan Bunshun, there’s more to this story!
According to a sport reporter, back in November 2017, after four years of dating, Shigeru and Risa had a fight at a Tokyo “takoyaki bar.” It seemed that the couple had broken up and reconciled, but he had suspicions that she was having an affair with Ryuhei, prompting him to ask questions. Ryuhei was then called to join them, which he did, leading to an even bigger mess.
It’s an uncomfortable situation seeing as how Shigeru is a great senior of Ryuhei’s within Johnny & Associates. But apparently love triangles are common within the company.
It was reported in a women’s magazine that the wife of Kazama Shunsuke is a former girlfriend of V6’s Miyake Ken. It was also reported in 2010 that Meisa Kuroki spent the night with Kis-My-Ft2’s Kitayama Hiromitsu. Two years later, she married another Johnny, Akanshi Jin.
According to a women’s magazine reporter, when Ken’s mom died, Shunsuke’s wife was by his side and comforted him, even though she was married. But it is also alleged that Shunsuke himself had an affair, with his “Jun to Ai” co-star Natsuna. Shunsuke and his wife have a three year old child now, so things seem to be good. When Jin married Meisa, he left Johnny & Associates. They too seem to be in a good place, with the couple looking to go overseas.
It’s also rumored that Arashi’s Aiba Masaki and Kanjani8’s Murakami Shingo were in a love triangle with a model.
But why are there so many love triangles in Johnny & Associates? According to an entertainment industry professional, it’s because when one is a Johnny, he has to be cautious with his personal life. This leads to them looking for more discreet surroundings and company, which in turn leads to multiple Johnny’s ending up in the same surroundings and associating with the same people. There is a membership bar in the Roppongi / Nishiazabu area that they frequent. They meet women there and its a constant cycle of meeting and breaking up. These love triangles happen unexpectedly.
