Four months ago, we reported that Akai Koen‘s guitarist Tsuno Maisa had passed away. Today they announced a commemoration live and their plans to disband the group afterwards in a public statement.
On their official website, the band stated that after months of discussions and talks about what the future holds for them, the group along with staff had collectively come to an agreement to end all activities after their May 28th last live, to be held at Nakano Sun Plaza. They all expressed their appreciation for their fans, and how the group really just would not be the same without Maisa.
Tickets for the live, the members’ individual messages and more information is available on their website. They have announced that there will be live streaming, although specific details have not been finalized and will be announced closer to the date.
