In recent years, streaming has grown in Japan, now comprising 54% of the digital market and 11.34% of the total music market. One of the streaming leaders, LINE MUSIC, recently celebrated its fourth anniversary. As part of this celebration, the company released two charts: one for the most streamed songs and the other for the songs featured the most as background music on LINE profiles. Ed Sheeran‘s “Shape of You” is the most streamed song in LINE MUSIC’s four years of existence, while Shota Shimizu‘s “My Boo” has been featured on the most LINE profiles.
