The film, which sees Sato Takeru and Tsuchiya Tao co-starring again after “Ruroni Kenshin” is based on a true story. Take a look at the released teaser below!

Hisashi (Sato Takeru ) and Mai (Tsuchiya Tao ) are a happy couple in their 20’s who are engaged to be married. But three months before their wedding, Mai becomes seriously ill. Her heart stops momentarily, and she falls into a deep coma. Hisashi visits Mai at the hospital every day before work. With no idea if or when she will ever awake, Mai’s parents encourage Hisashi to find someone else, but he refuses to give up and continues to pray for her recovery. As if his prayers are answered, Mai begins to regain consciousness several years later, and even utters a few words. But tragically, she has suffered brain damage and has no memory of Hisashi.

I thought Arama knows only Yamazaki Kento,Suda Masaki and Oguri Shun among actors.. Their works are reported religiously here but other actors’ news goes missing…

After a long time a Sato Takeru post..

      • vragile

Sato Takeru is definitely not ignored on Arama…..

        • HoneyDew

The last post on Takeru was 1 year ago. After that his three major movies – Ajin: Demi-Human,The 8-Year Engagement and Inuyashiki casting news was no-where.. Even the trailer of Ajin: Demi-Human was missed out.. I loved that trailer and its posters..

Was surprised to find a post mentioning The 8-Year Engagement with its trailer. Even LA of The Liar and His Lover was never mentioned by ARAMA.
But I see all the movie news of Yamazaki Kento diligently posted here ..

I am looking forward to Ajin: Demi-Human and Inuyashiki the most…

yeah it’s a bit hard to keep up with Jmovies news esp with just a number of staff posting abt movies.
Sometimes we do a compilation post bec there are just that many movie news and trailers to cover. Ajin- Demi Human is included in here along with several others.

Would you like to join Arama? I remember making a comment on our Jdrama seasonal post asking for willing contributors so we can put out more actors news.

            • HoneyDew

I would loved to..:) But I cant read and understand Japanese that much… Most of the news I get is from his fans on twitter..
Probably when I am a bit comfortable in Japanese,I will see if I can contribute. I am still learning..

            • Toff

This is also directed at HoneyDew, but I was wondering – if there are contributors, then what about Jdrama/Jmovie reviews also becoming a part of Arama? (We have weekly music reviews/polls for top singles etc. anyway.) I don’t always have time to watch everything, so it would interest me – also even if it weren’t news of a movie coming out but a review after it came out it would still be news to me since I wouldn’t know at all.

              • Reileen

Having reviews would be lovely. I am just not into doing reviews. Having people contribute will also be nice!

I understand not everyone has the time to be part of Arama staff, but actually we have put up a Community Post so that anyone from our readers can post not just news but op-ed/ Reviews etc. So everyone is welcome to post Jdrama/ J film stuff!

Some of the more recent posts in Arama are from this Community Post tool so pls feel free to share.

just a question, does it have to be news only? I mean I’m considering a few articles that are more like ‘retrospectives’ about Japanese film directors such as Tetsuya Nakashima, Mipo Oh, Koji Fukada and a few others. That would be about rather recent stuff (the last 10 years) but not really ‘news’

                  • Reileen

Not just news 😃 It can be opinion / editorial / reviews or retrospectives if you like etc. Further explanation can be found on that link.

But the reviews must come from a die-hard film buff who has good judgement.. I never liked Ronald’s reviews about music releases… Definitely not like him..

I’m already sad just by reading that description :(

With all the celebrity cheating news, this true story is refreshing. The teaser already had me teared up.

I read about this premise a while back and eh, idk..i’m usually not into this type of genre.

But I did watch Sato in If Cats Disappear from the World, and that movie wrecked me.

    • Miyanmu

      Sorry, but it looks wack.

    • Hmm, I might watch it.

    • I looooove this kind of film! Will definitely watch it! :D
