NTV
Momikeshite Fuyu ~ Wagaya no Mondai Nakatta Koto ni
(The Kitazawas-We Mind Our Own Business-)
Air Date: 10 pm, Saturdays, 13 January 2018
Cast: Yamada Ryosuke, Haru, Ozawa Yukiyoshi, Kotaki Nozomu, Chiba Yudai, Tsunematsu Yuri, Kojima Kazuya, Asano Kazuyuki, Nakamura Baijaku
Synopsis:

Three elite siblings—a doctor (eldest son), a lawyer (only daughter), and a cop (youngest son)—go all out to solve a “problem” that’s destroying their family’s peace.
You can be sure this family will solve any problem. They conduct strategy meetings during their family meetings, and “the family’s happiness” is always top priority–more important than the law or common sense.

Leading the cast of characters is Kitazawa Shusaku (Yamada Ryosuke), a University of Tokyo graduate who works at the Metropolitan Police Department. He’s one of the few who has potential to rise to the ranks of the elite executives. Assigned to the Police Affairs Department, Shusaku studies day and night for the promotion exam in hopes of one day becoming the police commissioner. The drawback is that his sense of justice is too strong.

Equally exceptional are his older sister Chiaki (Haru) and big brother Hirofumi (Ozawa Yukiyoshi). Chiaki is a high-flying lawyer who is blessed with both beauty and brains. Her intellectual prowess and eloquence earn her the reputation of “the Kitazawa family’s brains.” Like Shusaku, Chiaki is a champion of justice but her take on things are “odd” and she ends up shocking people quite frequently. Simply put, she has no common sense.

No one doubts that the eldest brother Hirofumi is a young and talented heart surgeon. His juniors have strong faith in him and he’s rumored to be in line to becoming the medical director, even from this early on in his career. His only flaw is that he really loves himself.

Surely, no problem can stand against the elite trio of “cop,” “lawyer,” and “doctor.” They should be able to solve any issue even before it begins. But the older two have personalities and opinions so strong that the youngest Shusaku ends up picking up the slack.

Such was how they were raised by their father Kitazawa Taizo (Nakamura Baijaku), headmaster of the private middle school Kitazawa Academy. His book on his “secrets” to raising three University of Tokyo graduates became a bestseller and the number of parents dreaming of putting their kids into Kitazawa Academy exploded. Taizo achieved prominence for successfully running a topnotch private middle school, but…

Step into the world of three weird siblings as they weave a ridiculous but somehow beautiful story of family love. Will the lead character, the youngest child who became a cop but somewhat lacks an elitist pretense, mature as a person? Family love vs work ethics–this is the struggle the Kitazawa family is mired in, and they always wind up splitting hairs asking, “Why does it turn out that way?” Follow their antics in this racy “ROTF comedy” fit for the entire family!

This season I am not excited for any drama… they all seem lame… Maybe I’ll watch Unnatural & Final Cut (for the cast). The only that seemed interesting is “anone” but I can’t stand Hirose Suzu… on the other hand Eita is there.. doushiooo

      • pondloso

really want to love anone but why it have to be Hirose Suzu can you push more boring young actress?

    • neko

OMG there is to much interesting dramas this season

    • This season seemed to have a lot of interesting dramas. I think I will be watching Final Cut (because of Kame obvs), The Kitazawas (the writer is one of my faves), YamaKen’s drama (because of his hair :P), Asu no Kimi ga Motto Suki (I need Ichihara Hayato in a good drama!!) and somehow Holiday Love (interesting plot?).

And Takki continue to take boring dramas. :( And I dont know if I should take Anone since I think Abe Sadao probably only appear like 5 minutes per episode.

    • Ahmad Syauqi Bin Hamzah

BG and Kansayaku Nozaki Shute will be my focus this season. Mob P100 for the leisure.

    • AkaneHaga

      give me a recomend
      i love survival like rimitto

    • Taylor

bye bye blackbird, kakegurui, and the kitazawas look good

    • Liokt

Interests: Kuragehime, Bye Bye Blackbird, Joshiteki Seikatsu and Kimi ga Kokoro ni Sumitsuita. Coincidentally or not, 75% of them have a transgender character in the story, hahaha’ That’s what I’d call representativeness.

      • 773

Kuranosuke from Kuragehime isn`t transgender, he is crossdresser. It`s not the same thing!
Shirota Yu`s charecter isn`t billed as transgender woman either. He plays a cis-woman, like John Travolta in Hairspray.
P.S. Japan is as homophobic and transphobic as ever. And no amount of cute guys in wigs on TV can change it.

        • Liokt

I knew there was something wrong with using the same definition for three completely different characters. Sorry, I was not that able to distinguish. Maybe watching the dramas will help me out a bit. But I think you understood my point.
And yes, we all know Japan is homophobic, transphobic and whatever-phobic, since “good-looking man playing a role dressed as a woman” is just “funny” or “cool” for most of them, but can you see the good part of having three dramas of the same season issuing the topic in times like these? I mean, we’re in 2018. The way we deal with it is different and it has to be.

I am watching Final Cut, the type of drama that will get interesting at middle of the series coz its a revenge theme. Lol
Fujiki is so thin!! Somehow Kanna Hashimoto will have a future, She will be like Suzu Hirose, much better…. Coz she is also good in Gintama.
      Kame is 💘

I also watch 99.9 tho, I like the first heroine than fumino.

I am watching Anone too, now I understand why they keep comparing looks Kame to Abe Sadao.. Must be the shape of the face and slightly eyes.

I’ll wait to BG, mob psycho & life as a girl!!!! ( definitely!!!!) I am so curious to watch it,…

So far, winter 2018 have better dramas than last yr. Autumn

    • These all seem really interesting! Idk why but Byplayers season 2 just might make me watch it. The synopsis made me laugh.

    • Sleeplessgurl

      Kiss that Kills…
“Yamazaki Kento, Suda Masaki, Arata Mackenyu” o.O Majide? Can’t wait to see this one.

    • yamakita

Looks a lot more interesting than the last season. I caught the end of Anone’s first episode. I was impressed by the cast so will keep watching to see if I can figure out what’s happening. Kimi ga Kokoro ni Sumitsuita is getting subbed by a local channel, following Prison Princess, so will definitely watch that one since I’ve really liked PP. Hoping the subbed version of Segodon will be aired soon…, but for now I enjoy watching Suzuki’s face.

Wondering why Haru keeps getting paired with a short Johnny…

      • Bobson Dugnutt

Subbed versions of the taiga drama usually air a few weeks later

    • AoZora

2018 is starting with interesting dramas, all of which are from my favorite Johnny’s..
Final Cut – Being a huge Kame fan, I cannot miss this.. Plot and rest of the cast are interesting..
Momoshite Fuyu – Yamada’s character looks interesting..
99.9 season 2 – will miss eikura Nana here… But still will watch it for Jun..
BG – Shinpen Keigonin – Kimtaku has a new challenge here.. Curious, how this will turn out…

Kame, Jun, Yamada and kimutaku, good luck to all these men… :)

    • Karen Khoo

Jdramas this season are on fire 🔥

    • MrM

I’m watching “Anone”. I’m a huge fan of Hirose Suzu, because I think she is versatile as an actress. I’m very anxious for the next episodes…

Watching Final Cut. Kame’s good in it esp when he does different characters. I just feel pity for the sisters that he targets and make them their gfs at the same time. I wonder what kind of Final Cut approach he will do to them.
