Sing along to Babymetal on the live PV for “The One”

There’s only a few days left before Babymetal globally release their latest album, Metal Resistance, on April 1st. On top of the PV for Karate they released just a little more than a week ago, fans who are eager for the outfit’s sophomore album now can also watch the PV for The One on their official Youtube channel. The track is a slow ballad serving as the final track of the album.

Footages seen on The One‘s PV is taken from Babymetal’s live in Yokohama Arena last December.  It features the trio as they glided on top of the audience using a pyramid-shaped platform. Also seen on the concert stage is three fox/sphinx(?) centerpieces that spews smokes throughout the video and fire pillars; all very appropriately metal visuals for the group.

The song itself is a 7-minute long ballad that highlights Su-metal’s powerful vocal; a pretty great closing track to an album/concert. What’s interesting though, is the extensive use of English on the lyrics. The description for the video even includes the lyrics of the English version of the song, available on the overseas edition of Metal Resistance. Does this signal a full commitment to the western market in the future? Only time will tell, but in the meantime, check out the PV for The One after the jump!
