This year marks Mika Nakashima’s 15th anniversary in the music industry. She has 3 new releases on the way to kick off the celebration. The first release will be on January 27, a CD+T-shirt set titled “OFFICIAL BOOTLEG LIVE at SHINJUKU LOFT.” This release will be released under the name “MIKA RANMARU”, since it is a collaboration between Mika and Tsuchiya Kohey. It is a recording of a show that they held back in November at Shinjuku Loft, titled “MIKA RANMARU ~MIKA NAKASHIMA 15th ANNIVERSARY~ ROCK’N’ ROLL LIVE.” Ten of Mika’s songs from throughout her career will appear on the album.
The second release is a tribute album, “MIKA NAKASHIMA TRIBUTE.” This album, out February 24, will see various acts such as HYDE, JUJU, Aimer, Onitsuka Chihiro, and Miyuki Nakajima covering Mika’s songs. The album will come in a Limited Edition which is housed inside of a box along with a rubber coaster, and a CD only Regular Edition.
The third release is “MTV Unplugged”, the recording of Mika’s MTV Unplugged episode that took place on January 10 at Tokyo’s Shinagawa Intercity Hall. This album is set for release on March 30. Mika sang various songs she’s released throughout her career at the show. The album will come in 3 editions, a CD+DVD Limited Edition, a CD+Blu-ray Limited Edition, and a CD only Regular Edition. The video disc that comes with the Limited Editions will include video footage from the show.
