Hayao Miyazaki confirmed to come out from retirement

It’s confirmed, legendary anime personality Hayao Miyazaki will make a new feature-length movie! Arama previously reported on his potential comeback three months ago, and it’s now confirmed to be true.  This will probably please not only fans of Studio Ghibli, but animation enthusiasts in general!

Toshio Suzuku, the animation’s film producer, long-time colleague of Hayao Miyazaki, and former president of Studio Ghibli made the announcement at an event in the United States, last week.

Hayao Miyazaki released his last movie in 2013 with Kaze Tachinu, before retiring from making feature-length movies the same year. Since then, he has been creating short movies for the Ghibli Museum and is currently working on a new short called “Kemushi no Boro”, which is planned to be shown there in a near future.
