Hey! Say! JUMP’s Yuto Nakajima is 2018’s “Best Jeanist”, Nanao enters Jeanist Hall of Fame!!

One of the highest accolades one can receive during their entertainment career is the “Best Jeanist” award! Japan is quite renowned for their love of denim, so it’s no surprise the origins of the award date back to 1984.

It’s awarded to a pair of celebrities who know how to wear their denim, and look good doing it. Sponsored by the “Japan Jeans Council” it continues to be a popular annual event. The top male and female winners are voted in by the general public, runner ups also receive an award.

Taking the top spot this year is Hey! Say! JUMP member Yuto Nakajima and model Nanao.

This is the second year in a row Nakajima has took home the prize, while this is Nanao’s third year winning. As a result Nanao is unable to win the award again in the future, but she will now be apart of the Jeanest Hall of Fame.

She will join the ranks of Ayumi Hamasaki, Kimura Takuya, KAT-TUN member Kazuya Kamenashi, Arashi member Masaki Aiba, Koda Kumi, and Rola! With three wins securing a spot in the hall of fame, perhaps Nakajima will join Nanao next year.

In celebration of their wins Nakajima did a goofy dance, while Nanao made every stunt queen proud by showing off her long legs, among other things.

80s idol Yoko Oginome, actor Issei Takahashi, American Internet Personality Cameron Dallas, and model Jun Hasegawa won runnner-up awards. Check out pictures from the event below!
