Women’s magazine Oggi, has enlisted legendary doll Licca for a special spread for October. An influential taste maker in the toy world, Licca has been used in many special campaigns; but this is her first time modelling for a magazine. One of the reasons why Licca (and those at Takara Tomy) accepted this offer was to show that she had grown up, and no longer had the fashion sense of a elementary school 5th grader. With the help of stylist Takahashi Rita, Licca was able to show off a more mature style while having a youthful allure. Take a look at the sophisticated looks that were created for her!

 

All the looks seen in Oggi are available for purchase for your own Licca doll. Recently Takara Tomy is trying to make Licca appeal to an older demographic. From a collaboration with Ariana Grande to Liccacastlse Small Shop Tokyo, a specific adult only space in Nihonbashi where customers can customize their dolls and shop, she has been making great effort to reconnect with former fans who’ve might have a lost interest. Along with an instgram, she also has a more mature looking webpage where she goes under a different moniker than Licca-chan; Licca Kayama.
