    • Question of the week: In light of Tosaka Hiroomi of Sandaime J Soul Brothers making his solo debut, what other group members would you like to see go solo. They don’t have to be from 3JSB.

      • Sota Hanamura(Da-iCE)

      • geh

        Ohno Satoshi.

        • Midna

And Nino. But it’ll never happen.

          • Geh

Nino has a really nice voice too. I really like when he simply humming along to songs and effortlessly singing while lounging around with his guitar

      • yamakita

Hmm… hard to think of anyone who should go solo. If they start in a group, I don’t think the Japanese sentiment likes anyone breaking away from that.

        • Geh

Lol. Nissy of AAA and Exile’s Atsushi both have pretty good solo career. As long as the soloist has talent, Japanese don’t mind if they stray a bit from their group. They will still have support from the group’s fans. It’s different if the person quit their group to debut solo (ie Shun ex-Exile & Jin ex-kattun)

          • Missa

Yeah, at least a small part of Nissy’s success has to do with the fact that he’s shown no interest in breaking away from AAA to pursue a solo career. Fans are generally happy to support individual member activities, so long as those activities aren’t harming the main group.

Plus, his success has opened the door for the other members who probably wouldn’t have tried otherwise (*cough*Shinjiro, fucking finally*cough*).

https://www.twitch.tv/twitchpresents twitch+crunchyroll is streaming anime 24/7 for a few days, it’s on yuri on ice right now

      • The Dark Dudette

Twitch going hard on that anime market. Is Otaking Heads over?
I thought Funk had the rights for YoI

        • yacchaitai

they’ve been doing various tv show marathons lately

          • The Dark Dudette

So Yuri on Ice streaming rights are with Crunchy, Funi as well as twitch? Did twitch have some kinda deal with them too?

            • yacchaitai

this is a crunchyroll promotion thing on twitch

      • eplizo

The comments in the sidebar during YOI are killing me LMAO.

    • AoZora

Any good movie recommendations? It should be light one,I mean no melodrama, violence etc issues… I should be a fun watch.

      • The Dark Dudette

Have you watched the Taiwanese Rom Com Hear Me? =D

I have no words to describe how much I adore it. And I am not a concise person in the written or in spoken form :p

        • AoZora

I just finished watching MARS(Taiwanese) and I am emotionally drained.. Thanks for the recommendation,I will check that:P

          • The Dark Dudette

I haven’t seen MARS. I think I’ll check it out too. Hear Me is my favourite Taiwanese flick. The acting is top notch.

            • yamakita

Oh I watched Summer of Bubbles with Barbie Hsu. It was like Taiwanese Gone with the Wind. Hilarious!

              • The Dark Dudette

Another film to add to my list. Thanku so much. Taiwanese actresses have funny names. Angela Baby? Barbie? Hmmm

                • yamakita

It’s a drama series >_< I agree about the names!

          • Grooby

MARS is hands down my favorite drama I’ve ever watched. It’s realistic, emotional, traumatic, but also very romantic. Every couple years I end up re-watching the whole series again lol

            • AoZora

Yes, I liked it too.. Especially Vic Chou..

        • yamakita

I’m gonna have to check it out. I loved Our Times.

          • The Dark Dudette

Then you must have seen ‘You Are the Apple of My Eye ‘ too!

            • You are the apple of my eye made me tear up tbh

        • AoZora

I watched the movie and I liked it.. Yes,acting is top notch…

      • HyperMoot .

maybe you’ve watched it already but this one is fun. It looks gross but it’s a very clever and at times hilarious little flick

        • AoZora

          thanks. i will check tht..:)

        • yamakita

I finally watched this! The whole premise is sad, as usual, but there are sure some funny moments. The Japanese really is funny. Their dedication to the task at hand is unsurpassed, even when it’s pointless and meaningless in the end. I agree with a review I read that this movie runs the risk of sugar coating a seedy industry, but is it really that different from any other facet of the entertainment industry in general?

Is it weird that I found the newbie annoying when she was being shy and less so when she got over her hump? What does that say about me?

I’m glad I watched it. I was a bit disappointed to learn that there is a sequel. Have you watched it?

      • serr

        Fish Story(2009) Japanese movie

        • HyperMoot .

          ah that’s a great one

          • yamakita

Is it just me or is Kora Kengo the Japanese Kevin Bacon? He’s been in everything!

        • AoZora

          Thanks! Will check that :)

      • Skai

        How about My Love Story?
It’s very light hearted and funny all the way through. (Just remember to stay for the post-credits scene fufu) :)

        • AoZora

I will check that.. Thanks :)

        • AoZora

I finished watching it just now… Yes, the movie is good. I couldn’t recognize Suzuki Ryuhei at all…

          • Skai

I’m glad you liked it!! ^^

        • yamakita

I somehow thought of the Girl’s Generation song, Gee, lol. Suzuki is one of the best J-actors currently working! He made Tenno no Ryoriban watchable!!!

          • AoZora

I watched Tenno no Ryoriban because of Takeru…He is one of my Fav J-actor..

            • yamakita

I like him, too, cuz he is easy on the eye and he is somewhat versatile. But I believe Suzuki stole the show. When his character died, I felt a family member died, too. I felt that invested!

              • AoZora

Yes,Suzuki did well.. Even Haru Kuroki..
                Looking forward to Ajin-Demi Human… I liked its trailer…

    • Mia

Most interesting J-movie you’ve seen this year?

      • Alexion

Himeanole (2016) was really interesting. Be warned, it’s a horror/psychological thriller but disguises itself as a somewhat light hearted romantic comedy in the first half. Should warn that it also has an unedited sex scene, an attempted rape scene, depicts murder directly without any camera cuts, and has a bit of gore. The serial killer in the film is surprisingly played by a Johnny’s boyband member which I found harder to digest lol.

        • yamakita

Just watched this… yikes. Sooo scary!!

        • WD79

Lol well Morita Go as a villain is hardly ever a first within J&A. The biggest villain ever (the calm, killing people for fun, cold-hearted kind of villain) was played by former SMAP’s Nakai Masahiro in Mohouhan circa 2002.

      • The Dark Dudette

Your Name. I cried so much!!!!1111!!
        .
        .
        .
        .
        .
        .
        .
        .
Nah. I thought it was hella overhyped.

        • yamakita

It was still good though. Being able to see it in a theater made it so much better for me.

          • The Dark Dudette

I watched it in the theatres too. I specifically flew back home just to watch it…because I am a mega otaku. I was not exactly blown over or anything. I am glad I am a spoilt, privileged city girl.

        • serr

          watch memories of matsuko

its a comic narration of a ill fated women

          • The Dark Dudette

Thanku for the suggestion. I’ll check it out <3

          • HyperMoot .

:-0 I agree to a point. There are indeed lots of extremely funny moments and scenes when you laugh hard when you shouldn’t but when you think about it it’s a very moving if not sad tale. Awesome film anyway, Tetsuya Nakashima’s masterpiece Imo

            • serr

its a spoiler to say its a sad film, at first i thought it looks like Forrest gump but ….oh boy what a story

              • HyperMoot .

ah you’re right, sorry, that was indeed very awkward. I think I fell in love with Japanese modern cinema with that particular movie

                • serr

Be with You is my first j movie also try departures very emotional movie

            • yamakita

I haven’t cried this much during a movie for long time :'(

          • Jo

It’s an emotional rollercoaster. I’m still not over it after all this time.

      • HyperMoot .

        Sang il Lee’s Ikari

        • ennie

Good movie. Don’t recommend watching it with other people as it is mature and has explicit scenes.

      • rshina

it’s an anime, but koe no katachi is a great movie too. and make sure to prepare a tissue

      • – Shin Godzilla
the Japanese makes fun of their way of dealing difficulties. but its main message is that Japan is still strong despite their tragedies in the past and together they can overcome every difficulty. Godzilla is just the disaster in this one, it’s not even a monster movie, more like a propaganda one. i found this interesting.

        – The Handmaiden
it’s a Korean one but The Handmaiden tops everything that I saw in the previous past 5 years at least btw. it’s just brilliant.

    • Mr.Taxi™

What do you all think of Utada new slay?

      • Her last single was much better.

        • HyperMoot .

          no way

      • Do-tell

I’ve only heard it 5xs but so far? It’s growing on me. I’m appreciating the Jazz vibes and violins–feels very French(?) (Is that a thing?)

      • Diego

It’s really good but nothing like her past drama songs such as Flavor of life and Prisioner of love

      • I love it!! Definitely better than the previous single imo.

    • The Dark Dudette

I would like to expanded my musical interests . Any recommendations ?
I’d like suggestions from the Asian continent alone (no jpop/kpop) since I am very familiar with European/American /South American music .

Something that’s very danceable and has a good beat.

      • The Dark Dudette

Meanwhile. Some Bollywood for you guys to try to get into

        https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ufGLdU2xyE4

        • yamakita

Who created Bollywood, do you know?

          • The Dark Dudette

Bollywood is Hindi music. From the country – India. I don’t exactly get the question but do you mean the music or the films?

            • serr

Bollywood used to be popular in old soviet union

              • The Dark Dudette

I heard Jimmy Aaja is well known in Russia. Is that true?
Why would that dance to Chikni Chameli of all songs in she could find in India? The judge was so unamused. She broke up a few couples it seems , judging from the audience reactions.

                • serr

Jimmy Aaja appears to be popular as nostalgia

Chikni Chameli become instant hit when it was released ,maybe that’s why she chose

here funny Japanese imitation of Indian song

                  • The Dark Dudette

That is so weird. Well, Rajnikanth is weird anyway. I hope there are no Rajni loons that use Arama.

                    • serr

haha i am rajni fan ,he is chuck norris of south asia ,he is slightly popular in japan also

                      • The Dark Dudette

Do I need to fear you then?

                      • serr

lol no ,popular i mean rajni memes just like chuck norris memes

                      • The Dark Dudette

No that’s not what I meant. I have met Rajni fans (2 of them precisely) who give you side-eyes if you tell them you don’t care about him. I’ve been to Andhra , where he seems popular (?)

He is well known in the Indian American community too

                      • serr

yeah he has some very dedicated fan fallowing ,in real life he looks very simple,if you show a real picture of him and tell he is highest paid actor in south asia no one will believe you

                      • The Dark Dudette

Well, I grew up hearing Rajni’s name in the Indian-American community so I wasn’t exactly surprised . Like he’s literally a god for so many Tamil people. Man I saw Cheeranjivi’s photo and I couldn’t believe this guy was a superstar.

                      • serr

i think i understand why rajini was popular among middle class ,poor . he is self made actor, before his acting career started he worked as coolie and carpenter and bus conductor

                        https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rajinikanth

before become a popular actor,Rajinikanth continued to perform various jobs in the cities of Bangalore and Madras, including that of a coolie and carpenter was a bus conductor,in spare time he learned acting through participating in small theatre plays

rajni has three state connection, was born in Bangalore , actually from a maratha family his real name is Shivaji Rao Gaekwad ,and was brought up speaking Marathi at home and Kannada outside.

not only rajni ,others stars like vijay and ajit also have some fanatic fan fallowing among tamils ,

lol Cheeranjivi became meme after his horse slide stunt gone viral

                      • The Dark Dudette

Rajnikanth is Marathi? Mind blown. I knew he was multilingual but for him to be a demi god for regions that he doesn’t belong to is amazing

                  • yamakita

Just waiting for someone to be offended…

                    • The Dark Dudette

Indians love racist humour. If anything, this is totally up their alley.

                • yamakita

Kinda catchy. Why did they put a wig on the little girl?

                  • The Dark Dudette

                    That is a wig
*suints eyes to look more closely*

            • yamakita

That was a serious question for once. It’s just so contradictory of what most people think of India. I guess I could’ve just googled :D http://www.world-film-awards.com/history-of-bollywood.html.

              • The Dark Dudette

I did realize it was a serious question. I just didn’t exactly get what you were talking about.

Yeah. People seem to think that Bollywood = snake dance. Lol
Modern Bollywood is very different than what it was , say, in the 90s

My pet peeve is when someone on an international stage dresses up like characters from Aladdin to dance to modern Bolly music. Like hello? This is hep hap. The hell you wearing…bindis, dhotis and lehengas and what not. (So You Think You Can Dance *ahem *ahem*)

                • AoZora

Bollywood is so stereotyped.. I cant help laughing when someone gets the costumes wrong ,even sometimes they get the music wrong…..

One more misconception most of them have is Bollywood is Indian Entertainment Industry… There are approx 15 flourishing Entertainment Industries in India and Bollywood is just one part,A Hindi Film Industry..
                  And,India doesn’t have a national language at all,…

                  • The Dark Dudette

                    “And,India doesn’t have a national language at all,…”

To be fair, it seems that many educated Indians too are completely unaware of this and don’t realize that nobody in the country is under any obligation to learn Hindi ; even the Constitution guarantees its people this right to practice whichever vernacular language they want.

I too thought Hindi was India’s national language because that was what I was told growing up. And now, after years of studying it , mastering it, I am told that my gramps does not even consider it his mother tongue . I feel cheated . Anyway , it helps me in India so whatever 🙌

And it is nice to see that you seem to be familiar with the Entertainment side of things in the Indian sub continent. Your interests must be diverse. Any specific reason you were attracted or stumbled upon it? I hope I am not being nosey. You need not answer at all. No worries.

                    • AoZora

I am Indian and currently residing in Pune :) I have been watching Hindi,Kannada and Marathi movies since childhood and recently(about 5 years back) exploring Tamil and Telugu as well..

I started watched Japanese dramas and movies 2 years back when a friend who was learning Japanese at that time suggested a JDrama.. Since then,I am more hooked to Japanese Ent than any other languages over here.. Now I have watched close to 120 Japanese dramas/movies with occasional Korean,Taiwanese,Mainland Chinese and Thai thrown in between:P

                      • The Dark Dudette

You are a Marathi? Cool. Never knew I’d actually be talking to an Indian on Arama. I’ve only watched the ‘Baawla’ movie in Marathi (Hindi dubbed) :p

I’m a halfie. Currently in India as well (for post – grad)

Achcha laga aapse baat karke :)

                      • AoZora

Actually my native language is Kannada, but since I had lot of relatives settled in Maharashtra,I ended up learning Marathi too….

My work has brought me to Pune :P

Mujhe bhi achcha laga aapse baat karke :)

                      • The Dark Dudette

Ah, nice. So you might know a little Konkani too since these languages are similar, I believe ? (idk)

One of the stupidest things I believed before coming here was that I could go to any part of the country because my Hindi was good. Never been more wrong.

Chalo . Achcha hai. Milke kabhi kabhi yahan sabki chugli kar sakte hain 😝

                        Good day sire/madame 😄😄

                      • AoZora

Goan Konkani has a bit of Portuguese flavor where as Maharashtrian one has more marathi Influence… I dont understand konkani that much but most konkani speakers do understand marathi :)

                      • yamakita

I feel like a fly on the wall reading this thread! >_< Learning a little bit about Indian cultural.

                      • The Dark Dudette

You could live in India your entire life and still not get a lick of ‘Indian culture’. So many languages! So many dialects. So many customs. So many ways you can piss anybody of.

                      • The Dark Dudette

I can’t believe I never knew Goa was a former Portuguese colony. No wonder it is so ‘different’ in character from the rest of the country. There are so many major coastal areas yet Goa feels like the hippie, young, party loving kid of the block. Like an Indian Ibiza?

                      • AoZora

Yes,Goa is popular for parties epecially booze and party drugs… Other states have very strict regulation ..
Have you been to Pondicherry? It has French feel to it .. Also has the famous Aurobindo ashram..

                      • The Dark Dudette

To be honest, I don’t even know the names of all the 30 sth states and territories. Heck I forget the 50 ones in the States too. I have been to very few places, mostly big cities. I do plan to expand my horizons and explore more. TIL there were French colonies in here too :D

          • HyperMoot .

            I swear I didn’t

            • The Dark Dudette

I was told that Obama’s ancestors might have had some hand in it. We need to have Bollywood repealed and cancelled !!!!111!!! Build a wall11!!

      • SlyMoonFox
        • The Dark Dudette

Thank u for the recommendations ^___^
The Great Artist is a pretty Great Music Video. The production values…whoa

          • Yes, that’s Jia! she left Miss A and now focusing on solo career in China

            • The Dark Dudette

Whoa …..Jia left? Did Miss A disband? What about Fei?
(I could google but I’d rather not go back to the kpop side of things)

              • Miss A is still together, only Jia left, but technically they might as well have disbanded now since they haven’t released any new music for years, Suzy is busy with her solo works, Fei released a solo single but that went to fire since it got released during South China sea controversy, thanks to Fei posted a pic of her supporting the Chinese government on ig and weibo. As for Min, idk, last time I heard she was picked to be Jandi for Boys Over Flower musical.

yeah i totes agree with not wanting to go back to kpop side, I don’t follow Kpop that much anymore, used to be a fan but I grew out of it, and the fandoms have gone toxic and embarrassing I get secondhand embarrassment everytime I read those “kpoppers” arguments and cringey comments on youtube

                • yamakita

It seems like everyone went thru a phase with Kpop. You’re Beautiful got me hooked. I also liked that Koreans cared about their teeth. But after about 5 years, it got too repetitive. Now it just sounds like someone is smashing the keyboard most of the time and everyone looks like they came out of the Barbie/Ken factory. Not that J-ent isn’t repetitive, just less so. I’ll put up with the bad teeth, I guess.

                  • During my k-weeb phase, everything looked cool, hell it was fun back then in the 2010, only few newbie groups debuted and you could actually remember them, but now it’s too over saturated. Generic, repetitive concept & music, cringey new fans, etc. When Jaebum got kicked out from 2PM, that was the last straw for me, I just couldn’t get into kpop like I used to.

I think I appreciate J-ent now, especially in the drama aspect, I would watch k-dramas religiously but I felt something was missing. As much as I love K-actors & actresses good looking face, the lack of good acting and good plots irked me, I realized I like J-dramas more because the actors are more “human” and the plots are top notch.

That’s sad. Miss A were the kpop GG I loved for their music alone. They had some great songs

Fei was no less than a goddess to me. I know she is Chinese and that she needs a career in China eventually but why did she have to support Chinese claims on the SSS. The map is so ridiculous , I can’t even.

I was into kpop briefly back in high school, but it’s too toxic for me. I avoid it like the plague. It’s impossible to escape it if you have social media accounts but I never go out of my way to ‘voluntarily’ seek kpop in my life. It’s too bad for one’s sanity and self-esteem.

                  • Me too tbh, I was really into in in high school, back then kpop wasn’t as popular as now, less toxic twitter fanbases, less annoying fans, etc.

but now you see it everywhere, hell, you could watch a documentary or a serious video on yt then 10 bucks someone would say “HEY! *inserts fandom’s name here* here! any *inserts idol’s name here* stan?” like wtf -_-

Yes! Hell yes. I was watchin this choco cookie recipe for Mother’s Day and the top comment then, with hundreds of upvotes, was about some BTS dude mothering his other members.

Watch of the week: Sad Tea (2013, director: Rikiya Imaizumi)

review from the Japan Times: http://www.japantimes.co.jp/culture/2014/06/05/films/film-reviews/sad-tea/#.WXwK5K3pNbU

I found myself more enthusiastic than the JT reviewer. It’s typically the kind of hard to define, odd and exciting movie the Japanese are good at. In between the arthouse and the sitcom, a truly enjoyable set of interconnected stories with a lot of humour, sadness and at times very clever scenes.

Re watch of the week: Birthright (2010, director: Naoki Hashimoto)

Mika, who grew up in an orphanage, manages to find her biological mother and much to her discontent a half sister. She prepares for revenge. A gloomy tale with a long and disturbing sequence in a closed space. Good acting.

(still) To watch: Over the Fence – My Tomorrow, Your Yesterday etc

They have almost zero presence on TV (meaning regular TV gigs, CMs) so they’re aggressively pushed to promote in other ways: long ass tours several times a year, between 50-70 handshake/photo-op events, their promotion tours usually start 2 months before a single is even out…I think we only had about 5-6 medical hiatuses from 1999-2011 TOTAL in H!P.

A Guy named Yuuki Kumagai who was a former entertainment production manager was arrested on charges of violating child prostitution / pornography prohibition law. He usually abused a lot of underage boys and some of Johnny’s Junior members too.. A Johnny Kitagawa Version 2.0.

Sorry,I used a translator,so maybe someone with fluency in Japanese can help with interpretation :)

          • yamakita

Awww I knew it! It’s just too easy for abuse of power to exist in this kind of structures.

            • AoZora

He actually built around himself fake power like atmosphere and used the same.. Poor those little boys, hope justice is served and not like that johnny boy who got off scot-free.The law did nothing much to him..

          • The Dark Dudette

Nothing is going to come out of this. The likes of Johnnys will die and continue to live on in people’s memories as legends.

MJ………still a legend of pop music and dance
            Chuck Berry……..legend of music
Woody Allen and Roman Polanski…….legend of movies
            Gandhi………legend in political history

The public memory chooses to always gloss over sexual deviances of people who’ve been highly successful in their lives.
Granted this dude is no Woody or Gandhi, but it’s not like he’s going to be convicted. I’ll be surprised (and happy) if he is.

            • AoZora

              Gandhi??? what has he done?

              • The Dark Dudette

He was a repressed sex maniac, man . My paternal grandparents are from India and they have nothing but disdain for him but it is a major taboo to criticize him in front of Indians since popular culture in India has completely glossed over his sexual life and portrayed him like this harmless saint who did no wrong.

He would advise the married women in his ashrams to abstain from sexual relations with their husbands and instead……sleep NAKED at night beside HIM to ‘practice patience and self-control’. He had this entire harem of supposedly virgin, young married women who practiced ‘self control’ on a regular basis
Like shit? What died that even mean?

He did this to his own cousins and GRAND NIECE as well, because dude was attracted to them and wanted to ‘get over it’.

He has written in his own autobiography that he chose to have sex with this wife while his own father lay dying. They were both in their mid teens when this happened (child marriages were common then)

I am surprised why UK tabloids are the first ones to publish this..
Also the book publisher is a UK one – Gandhi: Naked Ambition is published by Quercus and the author is Jad Adams,a British writer and television producer. Sometimes I wonder whether it was really true or a political move by the British.. The British never liked him…. Nobody in India has seen those manuscripts and sometimes I feel like giving Gandhi benefit of doubt…

                  • The Dark Dudette

Well the British and French also hate being told that their countries were built on the backs of the milions of people in Africa and Asia they had directly or indirectly killed over the course of history. And of course Queen Elizabeth, the symbol of the very monarchy that stood for oppression and exploitation of the poor as well as racial minorities is going around dame-ing and knight-ing people for their ‘contribution to the society’ *side-eyes Angelina Jolie*

Nevertheless, it doesn’t negate the bizarre sexual life of Gandhi at

                    • AoZora

This is 100% true – “we choose our heroes, glorify them and completely ignore their faults because heroes can do no wrong.”

                      • The Dark Dudette

Congratulations! You made it to the end of it all! Phew!

                    • yamakita

The read on Gandhi is shocking, but not surprising. You are absolutely right in a sense that history is often told by the winning side and it’s really all a form of propaganda. The purpose seems to be extending animosity and hatred among different nations and ethnicity while completely sweeping one side’s own atrocities, often against its own people, under the rug. We shouldn’t forget, but the teaching also seems to suggest that we should never forgive. So the conflicts continue until they blow up again. Human beings sure are interesting.

                      • The Dark Dudette

At this point I don’t believe a single piece of crap I read in history texts. Even the advents we made in the technology that we got in our hands have failed to stop false propaganda from creeping into our lives. Why should I believe the things I read from the times when there was no means to verify or correct anything? Who decided what got passed onto the future? What was edited, omitted , erased or left out?

“We shouldn’t forget, but the teaching also seems to suggest that we should never forgive”

As a half – Indian, I guess I do get angry at the British for pretending like colonisation was for the ‘greater good of its colonies’ etcetra etcetra. But when an Indian dude comes up to me and remarks how he employs an elderly, white British woman because he wants to show the ‘goras’ their place, am I supposed to laugh at that? Like sure, there are legit reasons why you have grudges against your former colonizers and yes these countries continue to be in denial over their wrongdoing , but that doesn’t justify your racism against them. It’s just pure hatred . This lady probably works for you because she is a working class woman, her kids don’t look after her and her pension in sh!t. Why bring the past into this? Her ancestors may not even had anything to do with your own.

                      • yamakita

Oh man, you’ve expressed everything I’ve felt about racial conflicts. Sometimes we (I wrote people first but thought we would be more appropriate) need to stop and look in the mirror. We need to stop making others pay for sins that they did not commit and the only thing in common is their race. Two wrongs don’t make a right, but we often want reasons to continue hating.

On a personal level, but maybe this is applicable on a greater scale as well, it takes a lot of energy to hate. My face gets all twisted and sometimes it causes physical discomfort. In the end, I’m the one suffering. Isn’t that dumb?

                      • The Dark Dudette

Not surprising at all. WWII, for example, is covered in British history lessons as a great victory. But the death count associated with running the Empire esp those of natives is completely ignored. I am certain that our white British cousins would be ecstatic to know that India supplied 2.5 M soldiers during the wars, 40% of whom were MUSLIMS. How does that work for their many Islamophobic asshats? They haven’t exactly done a delightful job of educating their masses on the Irish potato famines either.

I hope Brexit hits them hard on their economy and makes them realize just how much they over estimate their importance in the world

                • yamakita

He sounds like so many of the cult leaders we hear in the news who use their positions to advance their own sexual deviance.

Granted, if we were taught with different morals, maybe all this would be okay. But it’s often these same “moral leaders” who are spewing the values we should follow. The crime here really is hyprocrisy.

                  • The Dark Dudette

Cult leaders are vampires . They are all Edwards : they have soft voices, they are smooth talkers, they can convince your brain to do the stupidest sh!t and they sparkle (OK the last one…not so much)

I used to have famous/widely respected people that I loved and admired growing up. I don’t anymore. Who knows what they are all doing behind the comfort zones of their homes? Esp when you read these horror stories about somebody like Gandhi , who supposedly is a father figure to billions and he was a psychotic creep all along. Try saying it to somebody you know in your daily lives and they treat you like a treacherous peasant committing a sacrilege.

And will this Johnny 2.0 end up behind bars like he rightfully deserves to? Nah. I don’t think so. Bill Cosby is still free.
